Breast Lift (Mastopexy) Before & After Case 1
Yes! I have patients every week asking whether I do breast and body contouring, too, as my website and social media is being updated.
Here is a sneak peek at a recent patient 4 weeks after a fleur-de-lis tummy tuck and mastopexy.
She was interested in increasing her cup size to go with her lift, without use of an implant. Targeted liposuction was done at her waist and flanks, and this fat then transferred to her breasts for a beautiful and natural lift and fill.
Seams and scars are necessary with any surgery to tailor the skin. A bespoke plan is designed for each and every person based on individual goals and anatomy.
At 4 weeks, she can now return to light cardio with her Peloton, and at 6 weeks return to full weights!
Breast Lift (Mastopexy) Before & After Case 2
This woman wanted a lift and reshaping of her breasts.
As with most of my reduction and lifts, a superomedial pedicle is used. This has reliable blood flow, and often blood flow from other major sources including the intercostal perforators from the chest wall and lateral perforators can be preserved to minimize wound healing problems.
The skin pattern depends on the amount of skin that needs to be removed, though an inverted-T (aka anchor aka Wise pattern) skin excision gives predictable control of the vertical and horizontal skin excess.
Further volume reduction and shaping can be controlled with liposuction.
Drains are sometimes used to help with postoperative swelling and discomfort with larger reductions and/or when a fair amount of liposuction is performed.
She is seen at 1 month post-op.
Breast Lift (Mastopexy) Before & After Case 3
An augmentation/mastopexy is offered when goals include both breast lift surgery and breast volume maintenance or augmentation.
The further the nipple/areola needs to be raised to reach the goal position, the higher chance of wanting a revision (~30% in some series), or even planning a 2-stage surgery from the outset.
Here, a modest 250cc implant placed under the muscle added upper pole fullness while avoiding an “overdone” look.
A tummy tuck was also done to remove excess skin from the lower abdomen and tighten the abdominal wall.
She is seen at 4 weeks post-op, with scars and swelling continuing to improve every day!
Breast Lift (Mastopexy) Before & After Case 4
Breast lift and reduction are related surgeries with a lot of overlap, tailored to each patient’s anatomy and goals.
Here, baseline asymmetry was improved, and the weight and downward pull of her breasts made lighter.
It’s always fun when patients tell me they get to go without a bra now (though I have to remind them that gravity and time will win eventually!).

Breast Lift (Mastopexy) Before & After Case 5
Essentially all breast reductions include a lift, raising the nipple/areola to a more centered position on the breast.
In my hands, a superomedial pedicle combined with a Wise (inverted-T) pattern skin excision gives a reliable outcome with excellent blood flow and sensation for the nipple and areola.
Selective liposuction can contour the lateral breast without needing to directly lift it all away from the chest, also helping to maintain your circulation and sensation. Wound healing complications have also reduced tremendously since I modified my technique.
