Arm Lift (Brachioplasty) Before & After Photos

Brachioplasty involves the excision of extra, loose skin and/or liposuction of fat from one’s arms.

The choice in surgery depends on how much extra skin and/or fat there is to remove, and one’s tolerance for scars.

The options for scar placement include

• on the inside of the arm, along the groove next to the biceps muscle
• on the underside/back of the arm, where this patient’s scar was placed

The first one is more hidden with arms next to the sides, but seems to have more problems healing.

The second one is more hidden for the patient, heals better, is less likely to cause nerve damage, and is easier to estimate a safe but sufficient amount of skin to excise. Thus that’s my preferred approach.
